A wild set...
When I was asked to make a set of corset photo albums with a specific color scheme, well, I wasn't too sure about it... decorated front and end covers with a beautiful flowered wallpaper, corset structure with black sides and fuchsia satin ribbon.... It seemed a bit too much... but then all pieces came together and we all got very pleased with the result. This set consists of: two A4-sized albums for the in-laws and one 14" square large album for the newlyweds.... Beautiful!

Made-to-order notebooks
It is always nice and challenging to design a new book together with the client. Results are always great and the gift becomes a unique piece of handmade art. These two notebooks are bound in the traditional way, their plates covered with binder's canvas and decorated paper (one is from Nepal and the other is an antique wallpaper sample, both handprinted). Binding follows the Eastern 4-hole and 3-hole (with bamboo) techniques.

Three new precious gems.... bound using traditional Japanes techniques. Boards are decorated either with handmade papers from Nepal or with an antique wallpaper handprinted sample. Inside, either ivory Rosaspina or black Favini papers. Each album fits a 10x15 (4"x6") photo on each page.

New papers have arrived, so here are many new Japanese booklets, most sewn with the tradtional 4-hole binding, others with the three hole and wood sticks. Papers are from Japan, Nepal, Germany, Italy, or self decorated.... Inside, either ivory paper or white Favini sketching paper.

This was made for Gaby and David on their wedding day in Chicago. Very, very special gift for very, very special people.
Super square large size. Red cloth clad covers are bound to the text block using the Japanese Yotsume-toji 4-hole binding technique.
The star of this book is the pass-through insert: it is an antique paper, a rare find, probably an early XX century handprinted wallpaper sample. Inside: 70 gr. ivory paper.

Japanese 4-hole binding
4-hole binding is an ancient Japanese binding method (also used in China and Korea).
These books come in various sizes and are completely handmade by me. Each volume is a one-of-a-kind creation, using many kinds of cover materials, mostly cotton cloth, silk or paper. Custom books can be prepared upon request.
Manpower
A few samples from a series of shots taken at the Stadio dei Marmi. Pure strength, marble comes alive with tense muscles and is rendered more dramatic with the use of dark sepia tones.
Prints can be ordered separately and in several formats/media.

Beautiful statues from around the world. Some, true masterpieces.... The idea came a while ago: there was something about trying to give life back to these sometimes motionless works of art, let them breath again, regain their own inner strong female side, place them in a sort of dreamworld were all is quiet, serene, yet still very attractive and fiercely sensual. More to come....
